This programme explores the connection between music and Irish film. Films will be
explored in its historical, social and political context, through the story lines and the
musical tracks. Programmes seek to evoke memories in the audience of films they
may have seen, or were part of, or remember being shot in their locality. Each film
tells a different story and each film has its own music track. Initially programmes are
scripted and presented by me, and interspersed with musical tracks. As the concepts
evolves, I would like to include interviews from film crew, audience, actors etc. to
shed more light and insight on the topic being discussed, and as a way of involving
the local audience.
