This Sporting Life: The Story of Minority Sport in North Dublin
A 30 x 15 minute documentary series featuring sports as diverse as Archery, Orienteering and Lawn Bowls.

Tune in from saturday September 1st @ 3.30pm and every saturday for 30 weeks during the Sports Local Live programme.

Keep an eye on the Near FM website for details of which sport will be featured week to week.

The Dublin Rebels are the most successful team in the Irish American Football League’s history and have won the Shamrock Bowl a record 7 times. American football is a high impact, high adrenaline and high testosterone sport and we went along to a Rebel’s match at Sportslink in Santry to sample it for ourselves. We weren’t disappointed!! With contributions from Chris Quinn, Aaron Smith, Stephen Walsh and Andy Dennehy.

This series is supported by the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland Sound and Vision fund.
