Patron of Near

Has your organisation ever been interviewed on Near FM, ever been filmed by Near TV? Have you promoted your community organisation, band, book, play, or made a request for a song? Ever used our studios, or downloaded one of our podcasts?

Do you value the work we do as a community media organisation that is democratic and not for profit? If the answer is yes, we want to ask for your support now.

Patron of Near is a way for you to support the work of Near Media Co-op. Community media in Ireland, unlike RTE with the licence fee, is not in receipt of core state funding.

As an organisation Near Media Co-op relies on applying to a variety of competitive funding sources. We are keen to establish secure funding so we have a strong independent platform for community groups and local people to voice important societal issues that concern us all.

And so, we’d like to introducePatron of Near, which we think gives supporters the chance to actively support the community media work we love doing.
