Recording studios and services

Our professional studios, completely renovated and upgraded in 2024, provide everything you need for podcasts, voice over work, panel discussions, audio book recordings, audio drama and more.  We work with individuals and organisations, large and small, to help you tell your story in a professional and engaging way. Whether you need studio time, editing work, equipment rental, we can tailor a package to suit your needs.

Near FM studios offer you a relaxed environment for you to develop and record your project. We can edit your podcast or programmes to your exact specification with input and notes from you and your team.

Our recording studios are fitted with Axia IQX console with microphone extender desk. All the guest mics are AKG C635 ( 6 guest mics in multi-studio for audio drama and other large recordings). The headphones are Beyer Dynamics DT 100 with talkback enabled between studios. The presenter mic is a Warm Audio WA-87. Two additional guest mics in Studio. Two Tascam CD players CD-6010. Two Spotify channels plus Brower channel if needed. Adobe Audition 2024 for recording

*Rates do not include equipment other than studio gear that is built into the studio. Any additional equipment not provided with the studio can be rented by request if available.

*** Near FM is a not for profit social enterprise. We work with other charity, community and voluntary groups as well as commercial businesses and private individuals. Community partners can contact us for reductions on rates and contra deals.
