Become a broadcaster with Near FM

Want to be on radio or create your own podcast?  Have you ever listened to the radio and thought: ‘Why do they never play……’ or ‘why does no one talk about….?’  Our training will give you the opportunity to become a radio broadcaster or podcast producer. You can host your own programme on Near FM, or start up you own podcast with our podcast network NearCast Find our more call 01-8671190 or email training@near.ie

Near FM run interactive and practical Media Skills Training for Radio / Podcast Production. Get a chance to learn how to produce a radio programme / podcast in a safe and supportive environment. In this training we look at media literacy, media regulations and law, how to use the studios/ portable recorders, interviewing/research skills, editing, production features, how to structure a running order and produce a programme or podcast. This training course usually runs over 6 weeks – 2 hours a week – for a max 12 participants. No experience necessary. Call 01-8671190 or email training@near.ie

One you have completed our training, we would love you to stay involved; become a member of Near Media Co-op and apply for your own radio programme or podcast.
