The History Show – Episode 22

Episode 22 of the Irish History Show on Near FM presented by Cathal Brennan and John Dorney. On this episode the presenters are joined by Dr. Pádraig Lenihan to discuss population changes in Ireland in the Early – Modern period. Dr. Lenihan discusses the Plantations, the Cromwellian Reconquest, Scottish migration during the Williamite era, the famine of 1740 – 41 and the Great Famine of 1845 to 52.
Pádraig Lenihan has been a lecturer in history at the National University of Ireland Galway since 2010. Before then he was a lecturer in history at the University of Limerick since 1995.
